I’m very pleased JIFFY hasn’t yet appeared as a Wordle answer, if indeed it ever does, because it will be a nightmare to solve. Not that it was a cake walk in Quordle, although at least here I had a few extra guesses in which to identify it. Plus, with repeated Ls in ALLOY and a slightly uncommon (and unusually spelled) word in ANVIL, it’s a reasonably tough Quordle all round.

I needed eight guesses to solve it, and that was despite my three start words giving me a good opening to the game, with four letters already uncovered for three of the quadrants. The Daily Sequence was a tricky one, too, making this a real head-scratcher of a day in Quordle.
