Phew! I only solved today’s Quordle on the final guess, having very nearly been brought low by TRITE. That word cost me two attempts and left me needing to solve FUNKY on the final guess, although fortunately that was the only word still open to me. It was another reminder, if I needed one, that it’s a better strategy to play a narrowing-down if there’s a word with multiple options in the latter stages. Rather than guessing TRIBE and then TRIKE before finally going for TRITE, I should have identified the options sooner and gone with BROTH or something that would have ruled out two answers and left me with only one to play. Still, I escaped with my relatively newly formed streak still intact.
