Circana, the research group formerly known as NPD, has published its latest monthly US sales report, revealing which games have sold the best during the year so far. After July’s data is accounted for, there is one major change–EA’s College Football 25 had a gigantic launch.
CFB 25 was the first new entry in EA’s series in 10 years, dating back to NCAA Football 14 in 2013. There was a ton of built-up demand, and the results speak for themselves.
“Launch month dollar sales of EA Sports College Football 25 more than tripled the total lifetime dollar sales of the previous best-selling college football game, NCAA Football 07,” Circana analyst Mat Piscatella said.
After just one month on sale, CFB 25 is already 2024’s best-selling game thus far. Helldivers II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Dragon’s Dogma 2, and EA Sports MVP Bundle round out the top five. That last game is the bundle that includes both CFB 25 and Madden NFL 25.
