Black Ops 6 Movement Is Even More Ridiculous Than You Think

For years, “dolphin diving” has been a popular way to travel across the map when playing Call of Duty. The latest installment in the franchise, Black Ops 6, aims to evolve this popular method by introducing a new way for players to channel their inner dolphin.

This feature was discovered shortly after Call of Duty posted a multiplayer trailer on its official YouTube channel. The trailer featured many mechanics players have known about for some time, such as the meatshield and how omnimovement looks in action. But what caught a lot of people’s attention was how players can now Dolphin Dive out of the water and use omnimovement to their advantage to create a Max Payne-like action sequences.

For those unaware of “dolphin diving”, it’s when players launch themselves forward, and once they land, they are immediately prone. While they’re in the air, players look like dolphins, and that’s where the name comes from.

This wasn’t the only trailer Activision has recently released. Earlier last week, the studio released a new Zombie trailer, which picks up after the events of Black Ops: Cold War’s Zombie mode. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, but players can try it out early thanks to the beta set to begin on August 30.
