There’s so many factors at play here it’s not as simple as hey the s is weak and it seems to vary case by case there’s a few examples out there where the switch can play a game the Xbox can’t.
Some games yes obvious technical constraints are preventing the game from making a Xbox release in the case of bg3 or likely black myth and the series s is likely at fault here so much misinformation came from black myth like alleged exclusivity deals which did not exist it was simply PlayStation was the only platform that could natively support the game
Some games like remasters built around older frameworks were removed from the series SDK so it simply wasn’t possible to release those games on the platform unless Microsoft step in and work on integrating legacy frameworks into the modern SDK something they wouldn’t do unless push came to shove like with Capcom.
The third example and the biggest is games simply bypassing the platform altogether because by the publishers prediction there’s no chance of the title being profitable. Yes that old chestnut of Xbox gamers don’t buy games is alive and well outside of AAA titles like GTA vi it’s pretty much a given that launching a indie style or lower budget game will have Xbox players sitting by saying cool gamepass when.
So it’s not simply just the s it’s the fact the entire ecosystem is in the toilet and there’s zero indication it will recover
