Then why do you think both Sony and MS is going for all digital consoles? Not only those console manufactures but also game studios as well.
As sad as it is, with the ever increasing costs of games development, tied to physical media costs such: box, cover, manual, transport, distribution, storage…etc… not to mention the vast majority of gamers opting for digital media, it´s just a matter of time for physical media on consoles to disappear completely just like happened to PC.
Those that won´t support all digital consoles at all, better be prepared and find another hobby for the future just in case.
