Really, i laught out loud when people call BG3 woke, it’s possibly one of the most libertarian games ever created.

Just for one reason, the game gives you near complete freedom to do whatever you like, freedom to become whoever you want, have whatever friends you want, love whoever you like. That’s pure, complete liberalism.

The moment you can create a typical white dude, and romance a sweet, traditionally beautiful character like Shadowheart, this game is no longer woke. That’s how important she is, and that’s a great risk Larian Studios took, because the left hate women like that.

If she didn’t exist, you would have to either romance a girl boss like Karlach or Lae’zel, or have a gay relationships with well, the rest of the male cast that sooner or later will hit on you. THAT would be woke.

Having gay relationships in a game is not woke, it’s life. Gay relationships exist and have always existed, anything else is madness and denial. Forcing you to have gay or feminist girl boss relationships, THAT would be woke.

There’s a reason that the libertarian flag is the Gadsden flag, showing a snake that only attacks you when you mess with it, and their motto is “don’t tread on me”. The right values freedom over anything else. Do whatever you want, love whoever you like, as long as you don’t get into my business, and that goes for people, government, etc.

The left on the other side, only wants control, and it’s extension as cultural marxism that is the woke movement. You either agree with us in what is a woman, what relationships should be, what is a healthy body, what is racism, what is progress or poverty, etc or we cancel you, we censor you, or we even try to kill you, like we have seen recently.

Recent Assasins Creed games succeeded because even though they had tons of woke elements, they allowed you to still become a male or female character, and romance whoever you like. SW Outlaws failed because it forced you to become a racially ambiguous, non stereotypical female. Had they allowed you to choose race and gender, the game wouldn’t have failed so bad.

And that’s why BG3 succeeded where other games like Don’t Nod fail. BG3 gave you total, complete freedom to live your live as you see fit, while Don’t Nod games force you into the woke narrative with no means to escape it. That’s where “go woke go broke” prophecy starts showing up, and that’s why they are losing their jobs.
