Swedish Video Game Industry Grows 6% – Still Facing Challenges

I paid $1400 for a top of the line, water cooled 1080ti at release, seven years ago, today’s equivalent is $3500 without the water cooling.

Nvidia has a monopoly on AI and Cuda, if you wanted to do, say 3D work in a program like Blender, than Nvidia is the go to (although AMD is useable, the performance difference is off-putting). Video editing and image processing also benefit from Cuda cores as well.

Of course, they’re going to skimp on VRAM again, they want to make the more expensive cards more appealing, otherwise they punish you into upgrading earlier than you really want to. I really wish someone would knock Nividia off their high horse, they don’t treat their customers very well.
