Metaphor: ReFantazio is getting an official strategy guide on February 28, 2025, and you can preorder it now at Amazon for $55. Published by Future Press, the Metaphor: ReFantazio Strategy Guide is a 592-page hardcover book featuring mountains of information and full-color images “that recaptures Atlus’s wonderfully unique style on the printed page,” according to the Amazon listing.
Official strategy guides are uncommon these days, and this is the first one for an Atlus game in quite some time. Considering the popularity of Metaphor and Atlus role-playing games in general, we imagine this could sell out, so you may want to secure your preorder soon. Future Press has a great track record for making beautiful strategy guides, including a trio of Elden Ring strategy guides that are finally back in stock at Amazon. Metaphor: ReFantazio’s massive official strategy guide sounds like both an awesome collectible for Atlus fans and a comprehensive compendium of everything you could possibly want to know about the game.
Along with a complete walkthrough designed so that you see and do everything, the guidebook has multiple catalogs of useful information to pore over:
- Archetype Encyclopedia: An exhaustive section covering all skills, Synthesis attacks, and inheritance options.
- Equipment catalog: All items and equipment are included in a section designed to be used as a quick reference sheet.
- Bestiary: Every enemy in the game is chronicled with in-depth stats, including strengths and weaknesses, item drop rates, and other pertinent details.
- Dialogue trees: All of the choice-based dialogue and actions made in the game are outlined to help you form bonds with characters based on your personal preferences.
- Appendices: For those who want true 100% completion, this section contains the full Memorandum, has New Game+ details, an achievements and trophies guide, and a build guide to help you be as prepared as possible for Metaphor’s toughest challenges.
It also comes with a poster-sized map of Euchronia that’s an exact replica of the in-game map.

From Software Strategy Guides
Future’s Books of Knowledge series has proven to be incredibly popular. The first two volumes have been sold out for many months, but Amazon finally received more copies from a fresh print run. Volume 3, which released in October, covers the huge Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Future also re-released its popular Bloodborne guides in October as one 744-page tome covering the base game and DLC. In April, the Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium was reprinted to celebrate Future’s 25th anniversary. Unfortunately, this one is currently sold out at major retailers. Future’s Armored Core 6 Pilot’s Manual is a very useful resource for the newest Armored Core game, which is arguably more complex than any Souls game or Elden Ring.
Though not published by Future, it’s worth mentioning that there’s another very exciting book release slated for 2025. Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective is available to preorder for $45 (was $50) at Amazon. This hardcover book is being made by Piggyback, the publisher of the superb Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom guides.
