Haha, you guys care way to much, and complain to match. It’s always so negative on this site, I sometimes wonder if this is considered a hobby or some people’s whole life.

Ok, so if you hate MS/Xbox so much, just keep playing what you like, with the benefit of playing games that would have otherwise been exclusive (including games from acquisitions), yes their console business is in a distance 3rd place, yes they made mistakes, so yes, now they have to make another strategy, all companies give PR talk.

You guys act like these are not businesses, like it’s some personal fan service console war, MS know they have loss, what they are now doing is pivoting for profit, the thing ANY AND ALL companies should do if their business goes flat…yes yes, you armchair CEO and Developers will say, what they should have done, and what they could have done, but that is how things work, in competition, someone gets bested by the other(s).

We know, they know, and you know that they couldn’t beat Sony or Nintendo at this point…so what are the options? Try harder? Dissuade the super loyal Sony fan base? It’s too late, they already got their reputation.

So yes, them going multiplatform/timed exclusives with their own console still being produced and dipping in everyone one else’s pot(out of necessity) is the best course of action…and while they are still selling a current console it would be absolutely foolish to say, oh yeah, every single game we make and own will launch on PS, and we are going 3rd party publishers, hence, the PR talk, which again, ALL companies do lol.

Gamepass is their strategy and it’s a good one that they will continue to push, because it plays to their strengths, software integration, and now a super portfolio of Developer, and it’s a market that they actually lead( gaming sub service), they will continue to bolster GP, even more so now that they are reaping revenue from everywhere.
