I appreciate both, the most important factor is whether it is fun and that includes in respect of what some may consider to be ‘padding’. I love open world games and find it very therapeutic to clear items off a map (within reason) provided whatever the action is thats required is fun or interesting.

The biggest issue I have is that my backlog is crazy and I am always excited to try a new game which can lead to me sometimes wishing the game I am currently playing would come to an end, sometimes unfairly. Prime example of this was that I recently bought my long desired physical copy of Alan Wake 2, really enjoying it but I am now at the 14 hour mark and, despite enjoying it, I am finding it a bit ‘samey’ and just want it to end so I can move on.
