Speak with the survivors
In the next room, you’ll see a cage with several Dreamscourge-affected people sitting in it. You can’t speak to these people, but you can overhear whispers of others coming from the other side of a wall. There’s a door that leads into the room where these survivors are, but you’re unable to open it. Fortunately, all you have to do is climb up the rocks to the right of the cage and head into the room with the survivors.
Fortunately, the survivors are friendly, and after speaking with them, you learn that they are the residents of the laboratory you explored earlier. However, some of their colleagues began to show signs of the Dreamscourge and set fire to the lab. The lab workers not affected by the plague rushed down into the Scaedclef Grotto, but then the people currently locked in the cage also succumbed to the Dreamscourge. Now, the survivors aren’t sure if they want to kill them or let them live, but they desperately need to make a decision.
