Xenoblade Chronicles X For Nintendo Switch Is Already Discounted

March 21, 2025

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is discounted to $50 (was $60) at Woot. The new Nintendo Switch exclusive just launched on March 20, but the Amazon-owned discount shop has made a habit of offering $10 discounts on Nintendo games during launch week. This deal has already sold out once, so you’ll need to be quick to snag a copy for the reduced price.

It’s important to note that if you order a Switch game from Woot, you’ll often receive an imported copy. All Nintendo Switch games are region-free, so the only difference you’ll notice is the ratings board logo. Your copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X will be sealed and fully playable in English, so as long as you don’t mind a slightly different box, you might as well save 10 bucks while you can.

Woot has a bunch of Nintendo Switch game deals right now, including a number of other recent Nintendo exclusives.

$50 (was $60) at Woot

Much like the first game’s upgraded edition for Switch, the new remaster has overhauled graphics and quality-of-life improvements not present in the original 2015 release on Wii U. Along with visual upgrades and impactful gameplay improvements that make it play more like the newer entries in the series, you’ll also find a few new story elements that let you dive deeper into the world of New Los Angeles.

Nintendo Switch Online owners can play with 31 other players across the world in several different multiplayer modes: Squad Tasks, Online Missions, and Global Nemesis Battles.

If Woot sells out, multiple major retailers have Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition in stock for its $60 MSRP, including Walmart and Best Buy. You won’t find Xenoblade Chronicles X sold directly from Amazon, as the retailer hasn’t carried new Nintendo releases for the past year.

Set in 2054, the game follows a small group of humans as they flee their destroyed Earth and crash onto the mysterious planet of Mira. You’ll be tasked with doing everything you can to bring humanity back from the brink, and the story is just as nuanced as all the others in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. There’s no need to have played any other Xenoblade games before diving in, as the story is a standalone experience.

Xenoblade Chronicles Nintendo Amiibo Figures

Nintendo has released five Amiibo figures based on Xenoblade Chronicles characters. Three of those figures are currently available for around retail price. Shulk, the main character in the first Xenoblade Chronicles, is available exclusively at Target for $16. A 2-pack featuring Noah and Mio from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is in stock for $42 at Amazon and Walmart, which is $12 more than its original $30 MSRP. You can get a 2-pack featuring Pyra and Mythra for $30 at GameStop, but this reprint launched March 20 and probably won’t be in stock for long.

Even though you don’t need to play the mainline Xenoblade Chronicles series first, all role-playing fans who own the Nintendo Switch should give them a try. Xenoblade is arguably the best RPG series on Switch and perhaps even the best trilogy in general.

You’ll want to start at the beginning with Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, the updated Switch version of the 2010 Wii game. Walmart has the physical edition for $53 and digital copies for $54.

The most recent entry in the series, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, is also available for a small discount. You can get the digital bundle with the game and Expansion Pass for $85 at Walmart.

Finding physical US versions of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in new condition is a bit tricky, though you can buy a preowned copy from GameStop for $55. Alternatively, the UK version is readily available on Amazon and works fine in all regions, though you’ll need to make a European eShop account or buy a physical version of Torna Country, the game’s great expansion, to experience the whole story. You can get the digital edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for $52.79 at Walmart.
