Best And Fastest Ways To Make Gold In Oblivion Remastered

Sell legitimate loot to merchants

While selling stolen loot to the Thieves Guild is a nice way to turn a profit, selling loot you find out in the world of Cyrodiil is often a more efficient use of your time. After all, most of Oblivion Remastered is about exploration and picking up loot you find through exploration, so why not make some gold while playing the game as Bethesda intended?

Of course, you do want to try and target certain loot that has more value to merchants. One of the best items you can always sell is Welkynd Stones, which are only found in Ayleid Ruins in Oblivion Remastered. The easiest Ayleid Ruin to visit is Vilverin, which is right across the lake from the starting Sewer Entrances location. This is one of the locations we suggested you visit first in Oblivion Remastered since it offers a great way to make some early gold.

Any Ayleid Ruins, which are marked by yellow icons on your map, have the potential to contain upwards of two dozen Welkynd Stones inside them. These stones sell for around 20 gold with a standard Mercantile skill and only weigh one pound, meaning you can carry a ton and sell them for an enormous profit.

Another item of value to merchants that’s easy to come by is Daedra Hearts. These are mainly looted by killing enemies in the Gates of Oblivion, and they sell for around 15 gold each. However, they’re also an alchemy ingredient that makes Restore Health potions, so they have double uses when it comes to making gold in Oblivion Remastered.

Just about any weapon, gear, or other item you don’t need can be sold to merchants, though, so make sure you’re picking up everything you can carry throughout your travels. Although, we don’t recommend selling Soul Gems, as those are one of the most useful items you can own.
