$200

This is the phone to get if you’re looking for a battery beast and easy repairability. Right now, the HMD Skyline is down to its best price with this discount that knocks $200 off.

HMD isn’t one of those brands you hear from all that often anymore. And for good reason, since most of its business is done overseas. But the brand does have some of its models available in the US, which can be purchased from reliable retailers like Amazon. Going with HMD might also be a good option if you’re looking to get the most value.

Repairability and Qi2 help the Skyline shine

We reviewed the HMD Skyline at the tail end of 2024 and found that it was a pretty good phone, especially since it could be easily repaired using parts from iFixit. With that said, this phone has now dropped to its best price, coming in at just $300, which is $200 off its usual retail price.

What’s great about the HMD Skyline?

The HMD Skyline features a boxy design that looks to take some inspiration from older Nokia Windows Phones. It features a large 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz and support for HDR10. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip that’s paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

You get a triple camera setup in the rear, with a 108MP main, 50MP telephoto, and 13MP ultrawide. The front camera is also a 50MP sensor, making it ideal for videocalls. Perhaps one of the biggest draws of this phone is going to be its repairability. You can buy parts and kits from iFixit, which is something you don’t see much of nowadays.

So if you’re someone that often damages their phone a lot, then the HMD Skyline might be a good option. Another interesting feature of the device is proper support for Qi2 products. You just slap it onto a magnetic power bank, and you’re good to go. No other accessories are required, which is quite rare in the Android space.

For the most part, not all that bad for just $300. So if you’ve been looking to grab a new phone for cheap that won’t cost a fortune to fix when you need to, the HMD Skyline is going to be the one to go with.
