All Nook tablets and e-readers are currently on sale for $20 off

Nook 9-inch Lenovo Tablet

The Nook 9-inch Lenovo Tablet is the latest release from Barnes & Noble, a tablet designed for reading books and magazines that’s connected to a store that contains 4.5+ million e-books. It’s a tablet designed for heavy readers, packing grayscale, chromatic, and immersive reading modes.

If you’re familiar with the big three brands that sell e-readers in the US, then Barnes & Noble’s Nook should be a name that’s familiar. The company typically offers a range of Android tablets and E Ink e-readers. We recently reviewed the company’s latest Android slab, the Nook 9″ Lenovo Tablet, and came away pretty impressed with its diverse reading modes and lack of friction purchasing digital content. It’s the tablet to get if you find yourself at Barnes & Noble every weekend browsing the shelves, and it’s currently on sale for $20 off, bringing the $150 price down to $130.

Better yet, if Nook 9″ Lenovo Tablet doesn’t strike your fancy, or you have no need for a tablet, but instead are interested in picking up a new E Ink e-reader. Well, I have some great news: every single Nook device is currently $20 off. So, if you’d rather pick up a Glowlight 4 or Glowlight 4 Plus for a much more purpose-driven E Ink experience, we note in our positive review for the Plus that the addition of audiobook support and a flush screen that avoids dust buildup are standouts where the e-reader shines.

That’s right, the Nook GlowLight 4, GlowLight 4 Plus, 9″ Lenovo Tablet, and 9″ Lenovo Tablet Frost Blue Edition are all on sale until the 11th of May for $20 off. The choice is yours, though I have to say the Frost Blue Edition Lenovo tablet sure looks inviting. And since each device is connected to the Barnes & Noble store, no matter your choice you can easily purchase the content that interests you most direct from the device, and that does include the Android tablet (a convenience you won’t find in the Nook app on your phone).

What’s especially nice about the Nook 9″ Lenovo Tablet is that it offers some slick display modes that mimic the black and white look of a typical E Ink e-reader, but on its backlit LCD screen, which is not only a great way to conserve power when using the grayscale mode, but the perfect way to read a novel that doesn’t contain any color images. And when you’re done reading, you can change things back to the regular color mode to jump into your browser and start reading your favorite sites on the internet. It’s a versatile tablet that doesn’t break the bank, especially when it’s 13% off.

Nook Glowlight 4 Plus review: A worthy upgrade for Nookworms

Barnes & Noble finally added audiobook listening to the Nook, but we still don’t have a perfect e-reader

Of course, the Nook GlowLight 4 Plus is a worthwhile E Ink e-reader, not only because it’s connected to a digital e-book store that offers one of the largest selections out there (we’re talking about Barnes & Noble after all), but because it’s the most versatile E Ink Nook from the company yet, packing a flush screen and audiobook support (yes, there is a headphone jack). It also packs 32GB of storage. Handy to store a few audiobooks, and it has plenty of room to store your entire e-book collection.

So, if you’re in the market for a new reading device, be it an Android tablet or a dedicated E Ink e-reader, Barnes & Noble’s sale that takes $20 off the price of every one of its Nook devices is a great way to start your journey backed by an established store that won’t be going anywhere soon.

Nook GlowLight 4 Plus

The Nook Glowlight 4 Plus is a Barnes & Noble e-reader, one of the book marketplace’s most capable e-readers yet. Featuring a flush, 300 PPI 7.8-inch Carta e-ink screen, plus B&N Glowlight Illumination that adjusts brightness and warmth automatically, text of any size and font is tack-sharp and easily readable no matter the time of day or ambient light. This is the first member of the Nook family to be audiobook compatible; listen to audiobooks from the Barnes & Noble marketplace wirelessly via Bluetooth or through the 3.5mm headphone jack.
