While the brand hasn’t shared why this is happening, the news outlet speculates that it may be a reaction to the impending tariffs that loom.

As for how much volume, the news outlet shared some numbers, with Samsung expected to produce up to 16.2 million units of smartphones and tablets for the month of May.
The Galaxy S25 series will be 3.3 million units strong, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra reaching 1.5 million units, and the S25+ and S25 accounting for the rest. Of course, this number just doesn’t include the Galaxy S25 series, but also includes other phone models, and tablets as well. However, it’s important to note that the brand will also scale back shipments for the following month.
