Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The eight-game collection earned an 8/10 in our review and costs $40. Like last year’s Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, physical editions are only available for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
Launch editions of Capcom Fighting Collection 2 for either platform are bundled with an exclusive comic book. Capcom did the same thing with Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, and this has likely once again contributed to stock shortages on launch day. The PS4 version, in particular, is difficult to find in stock right now, but you can place an order for the PlayStation physical edition from Amazon.

Only the initial batch of Capcom Fighting Collection 2 physical copies will include an all-new Capcom vs. SNK comic made by Udon Entertainment in honor of the crossover series’ return in this new collection.
Since it’s a physical comic book, PC players won’t be able to take advantage of this offer. That said, PC users can snag a Steam key for only $32.79.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PS4 physical editions are still available to order multiple major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. As mentioned, the PlayStation edition is sold out at multiple retailers, though you can still order a copy from Amazon, and the retailer will ship it when stock is replenished.

While there are several great fighting games in this release, Capcom Fighting Collection 2’s marquee titles are Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight Pro and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark Of The Millenium 2001. These two games were big deals at the time of their original release, bringing together a roster of characters from two of the biggest fighting game studios of all time. Fans have waited years for the crossover series to return, and the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will finally bring Capcom vs. SNK to modern consoles.
That’s an impressive lineup for a budget-priced collection–especially considering these are playable with online matchmaking and rollback netcode.
Like the first Capcom Fighting Collection and Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, numerous quality-of-life features have been added to all eight games, including a series of challenges/milestones to track your progression throughout each game.
If you want to mimic the look of old TVs and arcade cabinets, you can cycle through different display filters to add scanlines. When playing offline, you can take advantage of a quick save feature to try again without needing to replay other fights first. Other user-friendly additions include optional one-button special moves and difficulty sliders for offline solo content.
In addition to the gameplay-focused additions, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 has a handful of extras for longtime fans, including a music player and galleries of concept art, posters, design documents, and marquee cards.
