YouTube’s latest Premium family plan price hike hasn’t made its way to the US yet. Inversely, users are getting a solid $10 off their monthly bill for the next six months, adding up to $60 in savings for half a year’s worth of membership.
For reference, earlier in January this year, the tech giant hiked the price of YouTube TV (not to be confused with the YouTube app for TVs) from $73 to $83. The new promotion essentially erases the hike.

The new discount appears to be available widely, but as pointed out by 9to5Google, it is a bit buried. The streaming giant isn’t actively advertising the promotion, and the only way you’d ever find it is if you recently happened to navigate to the subscription’s ‘Manage plan’ section.
To check if the promotion is available via desktop to you, head to the YouTube TV website → Settings → Membership → Manage → ‘Get $10 off your current plan.’ The page should look similar to the image below.
Enough to keep you subscribed?
The page should highlight your monthly billing date and the promotional price that you’ll be paying for the next six months, alongside the intimation that you’ll be back on regular pricing after the six months elapse.
It’s worth noting that according to a Reddit thread about the promotion, the option to claim the discount does not appear on the YouTube TV mobile app. Visiting the YouTube TV website via a mobile browser might work, but we weren’t able to check that.
The promotion comes soon after YouTube TV expanded its multiview experience, moving beyond its initial sports-only offering.
