SAVE 40%: The Ember Mug 2 (14 ounce, white) is on sale at Amazon for $89.99, down from the list price of $149.95. That’s a savings of $59.96 and a sale price that matches the lowest we’ve ever seen at Amazon.

It might be way too hot to get good sleep, but most of us are still heading for a hot cup of coffee in the morning. If you tend to abandon your coffee and wind up it when it’s down to room temperature, there’s a fancy solution and today’s sale price at Amazon makes it a lot more reasonable to own.

As of June 26, the Ember Mug 2 (14 ounce, white) is on sale at Amazon for $89.99, marked down from the standard price of $149.95. That works out to a 40% discount or a savings of $59.96. This early Prime Day sale price also matches the lowest we’ve ever spotted at Amazon.

This year, Prime Day is four whole days of deals which is a pretty major upgrade from the standard 48 hours. We’re gonna need extra coffee to shop this sale and as a pre-sale treat, Amazon is giving us a mighty fine reason to invest in a self-heating mug.

Mashable Trend Report

The Ember Mug 2 seems a bit steep at its $150 full price tag, but since it’s down to about $90 today, it’s a solid option. If you end up with cold coffee or tea each day, we’re taking about 25 cents per day for the next year to pay off the Ember Mug. The reward of drinking a beverage at the temperature you intended on is pretty awesome.

With a 14-ounce capacity, the Ember Mug 2 can keep drinks between 120 and 145 degrees for up to 80 minutes. This is all thanks to the built-in battery. You can also opt to use the included charging coaster which offers unlimited time to enjoy a hot drink.

From the Ember app on your smartphone, you can set your desired temperature, set a steep alarm to get perfect tea, and set custom LED colors on the charging coaster.

Before Prime Day officially starts and we start scrolling though thousands of deals, snag the self-heating Ember Mug 2 to ensure your coffee is always the perfect temperature. The 14-ounce white model is on sale at Amazon for $89.99, matching the lowest we’ve ever seen at Amazon.
