Comcast’s revamped Xfinity plans come with a free unlimited mobile line

We’ve seen the landscape of home internet change quite a bit over the past few years, with major cellular companies getting in on the action and looking to expand their reach. There’s even been news that T-Mobile could be looking to go all in, going so far as removing its current CEO to make it happen.

Another move to expand its growing network

Of course, it’s not only cellular companies that are making a big push, with brands like Comcast doing its best to keep customers interested as well. With that said, the brand is launching a new set of plans that will hopefully entice new customers, with promises of the best pricing available, along with pricing locked in for up to five years.

Making things easy

When it comes to plans, Comcast will now have four available that all include unlimited data and its Xfinity Wi-Fi Gateway. The aim here is to simplify things, creating a bundle with one price that’s easy to understand. Comcast will also offer a hefty discount by committing to its service, with price guarantees for one year and five years of service.

We’ve seen this strategy before, with T-Mobile offering price guarantees that give peace of mind to its customers. The same goes here for Comcast, delivering an upfront price that includes service and equipment at an easy-to-understand price. Naturally, you’re free to choose the speed you need, starting at 300Mbps and rising all the way to 2Gbps.

The interesting part of each plan is that Comcast is including a line of Xfinity Mobile service as well for one year. We recently saw Xfinity Mobile make some notable changes, with the major one being priority service that rivals parent networks. This type of service might not mean much to most since you most likely already have a wireless carrier you use, but it can be a great way to experience something new.

Of course, this is just a small perk of choosing Comcast’s Xfinity internet service. But if the plans look good, it’s definitely something to consider. The good news is that competition like this usually creates an interesting environment, so we’ll be looking out to see how other internet providers respond.
