Sharing your Google Calendar booking pages in Gmail is now easier than ever

Gmail has given users the option to schedule Google Calendar events/meetings (virtual and real-world ones) directly from the app’s compose screen since 2023.

The tool lets users propose available meeting times or create an event, all without leaving their email draft. Now, Google is set to further enhance the Calendar integration, and it is doing so by letting Gmail users create and share booking pages directly within the compose screen.

How to create an appointment calendar in Google Calendar

You can use Google Calendar to reign in the chaos of a busy schedule with its powerful appointment calendar and booking page options

According to the tech giant, it is adding the ability to share your Google Calendar appointment booking page directly into your email draft. Once sent, the recipient has the option to tap the booking icon within your email and be redirected to your appointment page.

“With this update, you can manage scheduling all in one place, eliminating the need to open multiple tabs to figure out when you’re available and then reiterate that in an email,” wrote Google in a Workspace Updates post.

Check Gmail, the feature might already be live for you

To try out the new feature, simply tap the three-dot menu in the compose screen’s bottom toolbar and hover over ‘Set up a time to meet.’ You should see your existing booking pages here alongside the option to create new ones. Users without a booking page will only see the option to create a new one. Once you select a booking page, it will be instantly added to your email draft within a rectangular box UI, as seen in the short GIF above.

Specifically designed to help customers choose booking times, I can see the feature also being helpful for internal team coordination and one-on-one meetings. The feature is rolling out now, and should be available to most within the week. For what it’s worth, I already have access to it on my personal Gmail account.

The feature will be fully rolled out to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts by the end of July.
