Xbox Ally Gaming Handheld Price Could Be Higher Than Expected, Leak Suggests

All I want to see is that same energy we seen with the PS5 Pro price lol. We all know how it’s going to go.

We have to remember, when you have a 3rd party making your hardware, it isn’t subsidized. Meaning they are not going to sell the hardware as a loss because they are not making money from anything else. So you are going to get less for the same price if it was built in house by one of the big three.

Sony and MS sell a more powerful machine for what we pay at retail and they sell it at a loss. At least initially especially for Sony. They make that money back from software sales, accessories, subscriptions, etc.

Asus does not have this luxury. They want to make a profit so you will see that in the price tag. If Asus and Sony/MS made a device and sold it for $500, the Sony/MS device would be more powerful period. Why? Because the device for Sony/MS would actually cost lets say $600 to make and they will sell it at a loss. We are getting more for what we are paying.

Asus on the other hand is trying to make a profit so it’s the opposite. You are actually going to get a machine that costs less than $500 to make. So less powerful. That’s the difference and what some people fail to realize.

But we will see the same people cap for this device like it’s some kind of revolutionary piece of tech and pretend you can’t purchase the same thing right now. These devices have been out for years. Now one will have a Xbox sticker on it. I’m going to shut up now lol.

Happy gaming y’all.
