Do you read what you want to read or do you read what is/was said?
Where do YOU see someone saying quit their job so they don’t lose it?
What is being said is that NOW is the time to unionize and take a united stand against A.I. so they don’t LOSE their job prospects later. Do you really think if every developer said “we won’t work on A.I.” that they would fire them all?
Even worse, we already have real life history on how either believing corporations or doing nothing plays out. Detroit was once called the “motor city”. Executives told workers “these machines we’re bringing in will only help, not take your jobs”. How’d that work out for them? Ask the union leaders how that turned out?
The problem is people like you will run cover for these corporations now with your lack of forsight, then have the nerve to cry about it later when it’s too late.
