I’ll just point to the comment section of Gamespot to see that a lot of ppl are angry with the rant of this guy.
Ill just copy and paste one of the argument that echo my sentiment
“I am confused. Who is not willing to invest in it? I mean, they are a profitable brand still, so the real investors are in for those coins. As for consumers, Game Pass is still a pretty good deal for those who do not live in developed countries, and (sadly) consumers don’t care if a studio was closed or if a game was cancelled if they can still keep their kids happy with new games every month.
This article seems to be motivated by a romantic view of the video game industry, which is either naive or ill-intended. Regardless, layoffs are becoming more and more common in the technology sector, and the video game industry is no exception.”
