Our review finds the Galaxy Watch 8 a worthy step up—it’s slimmer, packs Gemini AI right on your wrist, and adds sharper health and fitness features to help you train smarter.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch 8 lineup is now one of the go-to options for Galaxy fans shopping in the premium smartwatch space. The series includes the Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and the high-end Watch Ultra (2025). Prices kick off at about $350 for the base model and climb to around $650 for the Ultra.

Thankfully, Amazon is running a solid deal on the Galaxy Watch 8 right now. The 40mm LTE model drops to $320 (normally $400) if you pair it with a qualifying Samsung device. That’s $80 off, or 20% in savings. To claim it, just add the watch and something like a Galaxy S25 Ultra or Z Flip 7 to your cart, and the discount kicks in at checkout.

What’s great about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8?

Our take on the Galaxy Watch 8 is that it’s more than a small step forward, but a real upgrade. It brings a slimmer, lighter build, a cleaner One UI 8 Watch interface, full-on health tracking, and a sleek minimalist look.

On top of its communication perks, the Galaxy Watch 8 packs plenty of health and fitness tools, including sleep coaching, a running coach, and heart rate tracking, to name a few. It’s also slimmer with a refreshed design that looks sharper overall. Some tweaks are more subtle than groundbreaking, but it still feels like a solid leap from the last model. The catch is that the battery life is still short, usually topping out at just one to two days per charge.

Owners of the Galaxy Watch 7 who are eyeing an upgrade might find the Watch 8 a sweet spot, especially if the Ultra feels like overkill. Samsung’s current trade-in promos are unusually strong, making the jump more affordable than usual.
