Talk a bout a massive exaggeration.
The environments, enemies and especially story, will be the same regardless of which perspective is used.
Having said all that, 1st Person will always be superior in games like this, simply due to the far superior immersion. 1st person ‘brings you into the game world’ type of feel. 3rd person feels like ‘you are following behind the person who is in the game world’
Then there is VR, which is 1st Person on steroids.
Regardless of which, saying it will ‘feel like 2 separate games’ is incredibly exaggerated and inaccurate.
