An excellent Pixel 10 alternative

August 22, 2025

Google’s new smartphones are sharp-looking devices, but the Pixel way of life isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for an alternative, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ is an attractive option. It features many of the same creature comforts as the Google Pixel 10 series, with some added bonuses. It’s an even better phone when you can get one at a fantastic discount, and that’s precisely what Mint Mobile is offering.

For a limited time, you can score a Galaxy S25+ and a two-year unlimited plan for only $920. That breaks out to $560 for the Galaxy S25+ and $360 for Mint’s top plan — a significant discount on both. Yes, you’ll have to outlay a bit more cash upfront than you would otherwise, but the result is an excellent new phone and no service bills for two years. If you’re already looking to switch carriers, it’s worth taking a look at Mint Mobile.

Why you should buy a Samsung Galaxy S25+

The Galaxy S25+ has everything you’d want from a flagship in 2025. It features an outstanding 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen that’s bright and vibrant. It’s a vintage Samsung panel with excellent color saturation. The phone also has a premium look and feel, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covering the front and back and an aluminum frame.

The Tensor G5 in the Google Pixel 10 is a capable chipset, but the Snapdragon 8 Elite powering the Galaxy S25+ is a monster. It chews through anything I throw at it, and AAA mobile games are no problem — you’ll enjoy max graphics settings and frames on your Galaxy S25+. It also includes 12GB of RAM for smooth performance.

Material 3 Expressive on the Pixel 10 is getting lots of attention, but One UI on the Galaxy S25+ is no slouch. You’ll also receive the same seven years of software support, so you won’t have to worry about shopping for a new phone anytime soon.

I get a full day of mixed use on a single charge from the 4,900mAh battery in the Galaxy S25+. It also has capable cameras, with a triple lens setup. I even prefer the slightly warmer colors to Samsung photos — wonderful for social media. All told, the Galaxy S25+ is a fantastic flagship smartphone, and it’s even better if you can get it for less money while bundling Mint Mobile service.

The Samsung Galaxy S25+ is the middle offering in the company’s lineup. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powers it, and it has 12GB of RAM, and either 256 or 512GB of storage. Samsung didn’t increase the battery size for 2025, leaving it at 4,900mAh, although a more efficient chipset has resulted in better battery life. It’s thin and lightweight, at just 7.3mm and 190g, respectively.
