The Pixel tablet is for the person who wants the Google software experience. And while it was pretty expensive at launch, we’re now seeing at steep discount as it drops to its lowest price yet at $249.

We recently learned that Google is putting its future tablet plans on hold, which means that the Pixel Tablet may be the only device to come out from the brand for some time. While there are plenty of different Android tablets to choose from, the Pixel Tablet is the only one to go with if you want that Pixel experience.

The Pixel Tablet wasn’t all that popular at its launch, mainly due to its price, but you can now grab one for $249. That’s $150 off its retail price of $399, which drops it down to its lowest price yet. This discount is now available for a limited time from Best Buy and Amazon for a limited time, so get it while you can.

The perfect tablet if you want that Pixel experience

Google had quite a vision for its Pixel Tablet, bundling it with a speaker dock at launch. And while it was a pretty interesting idea to have the tablet act as a smart display when docked and charging, the idea didn’t really take off. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with the tablet, but it was the first attempt by Google to reignite its tablet lineup.

When it comes to the hardware, you’re getting an 11-inch LCD screen that looks pretty good, and a powerful Google Tensor G2 processor that’s paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. All of this adds up to a tablet that can handle pretty much anything you can throw at it, with enough performance to handle surfing the web, playing games, and more.

Now, why most people will choose a Pixel Tablet over any other Android tablet is the fact that it runs Google’s exclusive Pixel experience, and you gain access to relatively quick software updates. That still holds true today, with the Pixel Tablet offering support for the latest Android software update. For the most part, it’s a good experience and will continue to get better with future support.

The Pixel Tablet might not be for everyone, but at $249, it’s definitely one to consider if you’ve been thinking about a new tablet. Plus, if you want to, you can now purchase the Google Pixel Tablet Pen, which never got an official release, but is somehow available online. Grab the Pixel Tablet for less at Best Buy and Amazon while you can.
