Madden NFL 26 is already on sale for a substantial discount at multiple major retailers. The latest professional football sim from EA Sports launched August 14 on PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC for $70. Console players can get the physical edition for any platform for $50 right now at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners will get a free steelbook case with the deal at Walmart. You can also get a $20 discount and a free steelbook with College Football 26 at Walmart.
The steelbook case bonus isn’t available for Nintendo Switch 2, but it is one of the few Switch 2 games that has received a discount since the console launched in June. The Switch 2 port has consistently been one of the best-selling games for the platform on Amazon since its release. Madden 26 is the first entry in the series for a Nintendo console since Madden 13 back in 2012.
Madden NFL 26 earned an 8/10 in GameSpot’s review thanks to welcome updates to Franchise mode, improved presentation, more realistic player movements, and a variety of other tweaks and additions.
EA Sports Football Video Game Deals
Football fans can also save big on EA Sports College Football 26. Amazon briefly offered Madden 26 for $43 on PS5, but it’s sold out at the time of writing. It could come back in stock soon, just like the retailer’s $43 deal for the PS5 edition of College Football 26. Here’s a quick rundown of the active promotions.

Walmart’s exclusive steelbook case has the same cover art as the standard edition on the front. The back of the case reuses the Deluxe Edition key art, so the collectible case will be of particular interest to fans of the Philadelphia Eagles and their star running back Saquon Barkley.

Amazon has the Switch 2 and Xbox Series X versions of Madden NFL 26 on sale for $50. As mentioned, the PS5 edition sold out with a deal price of $43. It’s worth noting that the Nintendo Switch 2 physical edition is a Game-Key Card and requires a download of at least 55.5GB.

This is by far the best price for a 512GB model from a major brand. The Walmart-branded Onn 512GB microSD Express retails for $65.77, but it’s often sold out and only available in select US regions.
