The Google Rope Wristlet is a fashionable accessory that’s also quite functional

Like every year, Google’s latest Pixel phones have brought a new wave of accessories. This is usually a bit mundane, with the standard batch of cases, screen protectors, and charging products — but this year feels a little different. While Qi2 accessories are getting the most attention, it’s always the less practical accessories that tend to really blow up — and there’s a good possibility we’re going to see that with the Google Rope Wristlet.

Function meets fashion

Google

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an accessory like this pop up for a Pixel phone, but it might be the first one made by Google. And while it has a pretty simple design, it also still looks pretty good, adding a pop of color to your Pixel phone. Most importantly, it’s a way to keep your phone secure when you don’t have a pocket or bag to carry it in.

You get a choice of three colors, with Purple/Blue, Black/Grey, and Green/Yellow. Installation is pretty easy, but does require that you have a case on your phone. You slip the phone insert inside your case, clip that bottom portion to the included carabiner, and then attach the strap. While this accessory is making its debut with the Pixel 10, it will work with any phone.

The best part about this accessory is that it isn’t all that expensive, costing just $7 (via Android Central). Sure, it’s just a piece of rope, but we’ve seen straps coming from competitors that cost way more. If the Google Rope Wristlet looks like something you want to grab for yourself, you can head to the Google Store to purchase one, since that’s the only place you can pick one up for now.
