Hades 2 has spent just over a year in early access, adding a substantial amount of content and fine-tuning the gameplay across a number of major updates since May 2024. The game resurfaced at the September Nintendo Direct when Supergiant announced the release date and shared a new trailer.
For Switch 2, in TV mode Hades 2 will run at 1080p at 120fps. In handheld mode, it’ll support 1080p at 60fps. A physical edition for Switch 2 launches on November 20.
Hades 2 costs $30 and is Supergiant’s first-ever sequel. The company previously made the games Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. Released in 2020, Hades was a major success, and the sequel, Hades 2, entered early access back in 2024.
