That’s not really how it works though, the reviewer has to go through a review editor before a score is issued.
From their webpage.
“Scores and overall editorial opinion are determined by the reviewer and the Reviews Editor or supervising editor.”
Also, they choose which one of their reviewers from a pool of dozens of international reviewers gets to have their review published. So in this case they chose to publish the IGN Australia review.
IGN is a cooperate entity, it’s not as simple and some guy writing a review on their website like you implied.
