New Terminator Game Delayed Again Due To Trump’s Tariffs

Reef Entertainment has announced that, once again, Terminator 2D: No Fate has been delayed–and this latest delay is due to tariffs.

In a statement, the developer said the game is slipping from October 31 to November 26. The delay is due to “ongoing global trade and tariff changes that delayed shipment of the components” for the game’s physical editions.

“Because we are committed to launching all editions together, this new date applies to both physical and digital releases worldwide,” the developer said. “We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re sorry for this further delay.”

Issues surrounding US President Donald Trump’s controversial tariffs have prompted delays and price increases for a variety of products, including games. Microsoft, for example, just recently announced another Xbox price hike, while the PS5 recently got more expensive as well.

Terminator 2D: No Fate focuses on Sarah Connor as players try to stop Skynet and its machines from wiping out the human race. Players will also be able to control the adult John Connor during levels set in the future war against Skynet.

Terminator 2D: No Fate will be available on Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on November 26.

The two physical editions of Terminator 2D: No Fate were announced earlier this year. There’s a standard edition for $60, and a $120 collector’s edition that features a reversible box art sleeve, a cloth poster, a 25mm collectible metal arcade coin featuring the game’s logo, a full-color manual, and a collector’s box.
