Late Night With The Devil’s New 4K Steelbook Edition Is 30% Off At Amazon

Late Night with the Devil’s recently released Limited Edition Steelbook is on sale for only $27.49 for a limited time at Amazon. The new 4K Blu-ray edition launched in August for $40 and quickly sold out, but it’s back in stock now and available for a great price. This is the second time the horror film has received a 4K Blu-ray edition with a steelbook case. The original sold out fast when it hit stores last September, and since it never returned, it’s nice that there’s a new version for fans to add to their collection.

Despite being a small-budget indie film that released on Shudder and in select theaters, Late Night with the Devil was the highest rated horror movie on Rotten Tomatoes last year, earning a 97% Fresh rating based on hundreds of reviews from critics.

The artwork for the 2025 edition is pulled from the movie and features talk show host Jack Delroy on the front and Lily, the 13-year-old girl who is invited onto the show to demonstrate that she is possessed. A quote from the film is printed on the back: “Ladies and gentleman, please stay tuned for a live television first… As we attempt to commune with the Devil.” The inside of the case shows Jack, Lily, and June Ross-Mitchell, Lily’s parapsychologist and adoptive mother.

Amazon’s listing for the 2025 edition doesn’t include images of the collectibles that were bundled with the original release, but the description still mentions them. The physical extras include an autographed photo of lead character Jack Delory, an exclusive bookmark, and a Night Owl’s logo air freshener.

Special features include an audio commentary with lead actor David Dastmalchian, Q&A with directors Colin and Cameron Cairnes, and various behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Late Night with the Devil is also available on standard Blu-ray for $13.19. There are actually two Blu-ray editions listed on Amazon. The one for $15.39 released in May, and then there’s a $30 Blu-ray edition that debuted last October. The editions look exactly the same, so there doesn’t seem to be any reason to spend more on the original Blu-ray release.

Late Night with the Devil tells the story of Night Owls–a late night talk show that has seen its ratings drop significantly, following the death of the host’s wife. The host, Jack Delroy (played by David Dastmalchian), attempts to boost his ratings by running a Halloween special featuring a 13-year-old girl supposedly possessed by a demon. Things don’t quite go as planned, and the night’s episode quickly spirals out of Jack’s control.

It’s an unsettling and well-written film featuring excellent performances by lead actors Dastmalchian, Laura Gordon (June), and Ingrid Torelli (Lily). It pulled in $2.8 million during its first few days in theaters, making it the best-ever opening weekend for an IFC Films release. Notably, this figure included $666,666 on Sunday, which is thematically appropriate, hilariously improbable, and a bit disturbing.

Late Night with the Devil is one of the 10 films featured in the upcoming Shudder 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, which is available to preorder for only $62.38 (was $120) at Amazon. That’s a rather ridiculous discount, but keep in mind that Late Night with the Devil as well as the other nine films listed below are standard 1080p Blu-rays, not 4K. Shudder 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition launches November 11.

  • Terrified (2018)
  • The Mortuary Collection (2019)
  • The Dark and the Wicked (2020)
  • Host (2020)
  • Mad God (2021)
  • VHS/94 (2021)
  • Caveat (2022)
  • Skinamarink (2023)
  • Late Night with the Devil (2024)
  • In a Violent Nature (2024)

The collection releases the same day as Creepshow’s Complete Series. One of Shudder’s biggest TV series success stories, Creepshow is a horror-comedy anthology series based on the 1982 anthology film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero. The collector’s box set includes all four seasons on Blu-ray along with a comic book-style disc cases, a display box modeled after a CRT TV, and an actual comic book. Just like Shudder’s anniversary box set, preorders are nearly 50% off for Creepshow’s Complete Series. Check out our Creepshow franchise roundup for more details.
