Save $1,000 at T-Mobile on my favorite smartphone

Motorola smartphones are always better purchased at a discount. Whether it’s a sale through Motorola’s site or an enticing carrier discount, if you purchase a Moto at full price, you’re doing it wrong. T-Mobile has an excellent way to save $1,000 on my favorite smartphone. If you’ve been eyeing a Motorola Razr Ultra, but the price tag puts you off, T-Mobile has you covered.

There are several tiers of savings, but to get the full $1,000 off through bill credits, you must either trade in a phone to T-Mobile and sign up for a qualifying plan or add a new line with a qualifying plan. If you’re looking to switch carriers or your old phone is on its last legs, it’s a fantastic chance to save.

Why I love the Motorola Razr Ultra

Awesome design and excellent performance

I’ve written extensively about my love for the Motorola Razr Ultra. I think it’s an outstanding phone. Its design is gorgeous. I got mine in Pink Cabaret, and I don’t regret my choice. Its sleek lines and fun colors make it a conversation starter wherever I go.

It’s also not just a pretty face. The Razr Ultra packs serious performance, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 16GB of RAM, unheard of specs for a clamshell foldable. Motorola made the hinge more durable for 2025, and the phone is IP48 rated.

Motorola’s software updates leave much to be desired, but Hello UI is unoffensive and gets the job done. The Razr Ultra really shines when you use the 4-inch cover screen. Motorola nailed the experience, and I love that I don’t need Good Lock or any other setup tools to configure all the third-party apps I want to use.

The battery life is also impressive thanks to its 4,700mAh cell, and I love topping off my Razr Ultra with 68W wired charging speeds. The Razr Ultra features a pair of 50MP camera sensors: a primary and an ultrawide. All told, the Motorola Razr Ultra is a fantastic package, and it’s the phone that winds up back in my pocket the most when I’m not reviewing other devices. If you can grab one for $1,000, I’m all for it.

The Moto Razr Ultra is the foldable you’ve been waiting for. With a new camera system, top-tier specs, and a larger, brighter display, this is a Razr designed to go head-to-head with Samsung — for a price, of course.
