The answers to today’s Strands, game #592, are…
- SPORTS
- GEOGRAPHY
- MUSIC
- HISTORY
- MOVIES
- NEWS
- SPANGRAM: TRIVIANIGHT
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
I had both “sport” and “story” down as non-game words before I saw SPORTS and HISTORY – but once I did I knew it was going to be a case of collecting the cheeses one by one, just like we did with Trivial Pursuit back in the day.
Personally I love a TRIVIANIGHT and it was one of the things that kept me going during the pandemic, when I’d regularly connect online with friends and family and we’d each take turns to quiz each other, although it was often very different to the categories of this game, with murders, famous noses, Welsh castles and trousers all featuring in one relative’s quiz.
It was good to see a spangram reach from side to side after yesterday’s unsatisfying snake, a feature which added to an enjoyable and just slightly tricky game.
