With spooky season in full swing, there’s only one thing that should be on your to-do list: Cozying up and watching all your favorite horror and thriller movies. If you’re more into mysteries than you are jump scares, the 1999 classic, The Bone Collector, has just been released on 4K Blu-Ray and is 50% off the original price during launch week. That’s just $22.49 for a Blu-Ray that would normally run you $45, so if you want to pick up a copy, now is the time to do it.
$22.49 (was $45)
The newly released The Bone Collector 4K UHD Blu-Ray edition is a two-disc set featuring 4K UHD and standard Blu-ray versions of the gripping 1999 thriller. The new 4K version was created from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative and a lossless 5.1 surround sound, with final approval from director Phillip Noyce. The 4K disc supports Dolby Vision HDR.
The Bone Collector 4K Blu-Ray Special Features
The Bone Collector 4K Blu-Ray offers a short selection of bonus features that you can enjoy after you watch the movie, including multiple audio commentaries, a behind-the-scenes featurette, and more.
- Three Audio Commentary tracks featuring: Director Phillip Noyce; Film Historians Steve Mitchell and Edwin Samuelson; and critic Kim Newman and journalist Barry Forshaw
- Spotlight on Location: Featurette
- Remastered Theatrical Trailer
While not exactly a Halloween classic, The Bone Collector is still worth a watch during spooky season. The classic thriller stars Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie as they try to solve the case of a serial killer who aims to distract their pursuers with macabre puzzles. The new 4K edition is likely the best-looking version of the film available, and since it comes with a standard Blu-ray disc version of the film, you can enjoy the movie whether you have a 4K Blu-ray player or are still rocking with an old-school standard Blu-ray device instead. However, if you want to save even more cash, the previously released The Bone Collector standard Blu-ray edition is also available at Amazon for just $12.49. You’ll miss out on the 4K remastering, but it includes all the same bonus materials.
If you’re looking for even more spooky-themed deals, plenty of games and movies are currently on sale to ring in the season, including $25 off the steelbook Blu-Ray of the horror classic Trick’r Treat. You can also save 50% on preorders for the upcoming Creepshow: The Complete Series Blu-ray set, or grab the new 4K Collector’s Edition of the acclaimed horror anime film Perfect Blue at a discount ahead of its December 23 launch. Preorders are also live for the new 4K remaster of Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead remake.
