If you’re not buying a Motorola Razr 2025 for $50, you’re doing it wrong

It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of the Motorola Razr lineup. Moto did a fantastic job understanding why people buy clamshell folding phones. It’s a device I’d recommend to anyone, and when I don’t have the Motorola Razr Ultra in my pocket, I’m gladly rocking my Spring Bud Motorola Razr 2025. It’s not an expensive phone, but I’m all for saving money, and T-Mobile has a way to significantly reduce the price of the Razr 2025.

If you trade in an eligible device, you can score $500 off a Razr 2025, bringing the price down to only $50. It’s a fantastic way to save for existing customers. If you’re a new customer or you’re adding a line, you can pick one up for free. Motorola phones are best purchased at a discount, and I appreciate that T-Mobile offers several ways to save on them.

Why I love the Motorola Razr 2025

Sleek design and fantastic outer display

The Motorola Razr 2025 is a fantastic blend of style and functionality. Its Dimensity 7400 chipset and 8GB of RAM provide more than enough performance for daily tasks. Light gaming is a pleasant experience, and I’m able to multitask without issue.

The real star of the show is the 3.6-inch cover screen. Motorola understands the importance of the outer display experience on a clamshell foldable, and the company nails it with the Razr 2025. I don’t need any additional software to load up my favorite apps, and the cover screen is set up within seconds. The phone’s 6.9-inch internal display is also gorgeous and vibrant — precisely what I want.

Android 15 runs well on the Razr 2025, and Hello UI is unoffensive. All your favorite Moto gestures are still there, and chopping the phone to turn on the flashlight never gets old.

The battery life is solid, thanks to the 4,500mAh cell in the Razr 2025, and it features wired and wireless charging options. Midrange Motorola cameras aren’t bad, and I enjoy the images I get from the phone’s 50MP primary sensor. All told, the phone is fun and sleek, and if you can pick one up at a massive discount, it makes it a no-brainer.

Motorola’s most affordable Razr gets a glow-up for 2025. With new colors, a more powerful processor, and all sorts of AI tools, this might be the most exciting $700 folding phone you’ve ever seen.
