SAVE $8.12: As of Oct. 22, the Pokémon TCG Surging Sparks Elite Trainer Box is $74.82 at TCGplayer, compared to $82.94 at Amazon.
Remember Surging Sparks? With Mega Evolution being snapped up as fast as it gets restocked and Phantasmal Flames preorders going in and out of stock, I can understand trainers forgetting about it. Both Surging Sparks sealed product and single cards are dropping to reasonable pricing now that Pokémon TCG reprints of legacy Scarlet and Violet expansions are starting to spread out in the wild.
The Surging Sparks ETB is currently $74.82 at TCGplayer, a saving of $8.12 on an overpriced $82.94 at Amazon. It’s a classic case of big box retailers increasing their profit margins and jumping on the hype, and I don’t agree with it. At least sellers on TCGplayer mostly stick to market value pricing.
Trainers will get eight Surging Sparks booster packs, a set of 65 deck sleeves that match the Pikachu theme of the Elite Trainer Box, a set of dice, card dividers, card storage box, and a promo Magneton Illustration Rare card.

Sealed product is coming down in price, and so is Surging Sparks single cards. Pikachu ex SIR was touching nearly $600 earlier this year, so it’s a great time to snap up the top chase cards in this Scarlet and Violet Pokémon TCG expansion. Hydeigon ex SIR for under $50? Yes please. Here’s the Surging Sparks cards that should be taking pride and place in your binder:
