Google makes some pretty good hardware if you’re looking to grab some audio products from the brand. And while it doesn’t refresh this product lineup as much as other brands, we’re still glad that it does bring improvements through new software updates.
But, if you’re a dedicated fan of Pixel Buds, you’ll be happy to know that Google is now making it easier to pick up parts, making them available for purchase direct from the Google Store. This is a pretty big deal considering that you previously had to use a form to order them.
A great way to resurrect a pair you’ve forgotten about
This news was picked up by 9to5Google, giving readers a heads-up that parts are now easier to come by, which is a huge deal if you’ve ever lost an earbud and needed a replacement ASAP. Not only can you get full replacement earbuds, but the Google Store also sells earbud tips as well.
You can pick up a set of ear tips for your Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2 for just $20. The actual hardware will cost a bit more, with a replacement Pixel Buds 2a earbud costing $55, and the replacement for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 costing $70. You can even pick up the charging cases that cost $55 for the former, and $95 for the latter.
For the most part, these prices are going to be pretty good, considering that everything here is brand new and costs less than picking up a discounted pair from a third-party retailer. While we’ve seen earbuds go on sale quite often, pairs from Google aren’t so lucky.
So, if you’ve had a pair of earbuds that needed some hardware, now’s going to be a good time to pick some up. Again, just head to the Google Store and just purchase the replacement parts you need.
