The Google Pixel 10 is already excellent for $800, but it’s irresistible for $550

I love the Google Pixel 10 for many reasons. It’s a fantastic entry-level flagship device for people trying out Android for the first time. It’s also an excellent choice for Pixel fans who want all the Google software extras and feature drops without spending over $1,000 on a smartphone. At $800, I think it’s already a decent value, but if you can pick one up at a deeper discount, I’m all for it.

Thankfully, Mint Mobile has you covered. For a limited time, you can purchase a Pixel 10 bundle, which includes the phone for $250 off and 50% off Mint’s Unlimited plan for 12 months. It’s a bit more out-of-pocket up front, but the savings are impressive. You’ll need to pay for service anyway, so it’s a good idea to save on both with a bundle. I liked the Pixel 10’s value at $800, but I love it at $550.

What I like about the Google Pixel 10

Excellent display and friendly software

Google’s marketing the Pixel 10 to lure away disgruntled iPhone users, and the hardware backs that up. It’s a well-designed phone, with a gorgeous 6.3-inch Actua display. The device feels premium in the hand and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back. It’s IP68 dust and water-resistant, meaning your Pixel 10 won’t be afraid of the rain.

I love the Pixel 10’s build, but its software steals the show. Material 3 Expressive is fantastic, and it’s the perfect transition if you’ve never used Android before. It’s intuitive and well-designed — precisely what I want from my phone’s software. Google did an excellent job with the user experience this year. All your Pixel favorite features, like Now Playing, are also available. In addition, Google promises seven years of software support for the Pixel 10, so your phone won’t be obsolete anytime soon.

The phone’s performance is smooth thanks to the Tensor G5 chipset and 12GB of RAM. I get excellent battery life, too, consistently making it through two days of mixed use on a single charge from the phone’s 4,970mAh battery.

It wouldn’t be a Pixel conversation without mentioning the cameras. I get crisp, detailed images from the phone’s 48MP primary sensor, and I appreciate that Google added a 5x optical zoom on the Pixel 10. Shutterbugs will enjoy Night Sight’s low-light photography. All told, if you can snag a Pixel 10 for $550 with discounted service, it’s an excellent deal.
