OnePlus 15 is confirmed for a global launch next month

Shenzhen, China-based OnePlus’ latest (and potentially the greatest) flagship is coming to international markets.

After launching the new OnePlus 15 in China earlier this week, OnePlus has confirmed that the device will make its international stop, which includes the US and Canada, starting Thursday, November 13. Not just that — the Chinese tech giant is also hosting a dedicated ‘global launch event’ on the day, which users will be able to watch live on OnePlus’ YouTube channel.

Although we already know almost everything there is to know about the upcoming device, the phone’s global variant could have minor tweaks. That’s precisely why the company said that it will have more to share, including full specifications, pricing, and availability during the global launch event.

Regardless, from what the company did share, we know that the international/global variant of the device will be available in three distinct colors, as seen in the image above. These include Infinite Black, Ultra Violet, and Sand Storm. The devices will reportedly be “1.3x harder than titanium mid frame,” offering enhanced durability while not compromising on style.

Additionally, the upcoming device will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, complete with OxygenOS 16 out of the box. The chipset will be paired with a generous 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

The company also confirmed that the device will boast a new DetailMax Engine for photography with “exceptional daylight clarity and night-time sharpness.” The engine will boast a new ‘Ultra-Clear 26MP mode,’ which will reportedly combine data from multi-frame 12MP shots with a single 50MP high-resolution frame, producing a final 26MP photo.

AndroidPolice writer Andy Boxall has already taken the new device for a spin, and according to him, photos taken with the OnePlus 15 do live up to the hype!

As always though, the device’s price still remains a mystery, which OnePlus will officially unveil on November 13. You can, however, secure an extra $50 off on the device by subscribing to the upcoming event today on OnePlus’ website.
