Google Photos isn’t just an app to view your photos and videos. It’s expanded into something more over the years, and has become a place where you can easily edit your content, but also create new media as well. Or, in Google’s words, “create a polished, share-worthy video with creative narratives beat-matched to trendy music.” And while this might sound a bit overboard, the good news is, you’ll be able to crank it up or dial it back to suit your needs. Once you dive into the templates, you’ll have the ability to choose your media or have the app take care of the hard work for you.
Then you can feel free to add music and text, creating something that’s perfect for the moment. Sometimes a picture just isn’t enough when you want to convey what you’re experiencing. Towards the bottom of the app, you should see an option to “Create.” Inside this section, you’ll find all the tools you need to make collages, highlight videos, cinematic videos, and even animations. Not to say that it’s complicated, but it will provide suggestions on how to get the best results. For the most part, you just tell the app what you want, and it will automatically take care of the rest. For example, you can search for “city” images, and it will compile some of the best images from your library in order to create a video highlighting cities you’ve taken images of.
