If you’re shopping for a Lego Super Mario fan this holiday season, check out Amazon and Walmart’s deal on the adorable Soda Jungle Maker playset. Normally $55, the 598-piece building set is down to just $25 at both retailers as part of early Black Friday sales. It’s extremely rare for a Lego Mario set to receive a discount of this size. We can’t recall the last time a retailer sold one of the Mario playsets for over 50% off its MSRP.
There is an obvious reason for the $30 (55%) price cut, though: Lego recently retired the Soda Jungle Maker set. All other major retailers are sold out, so once this deal is gone, Soda Jungle Maker is unlikely to be restocked by any retailer. Amazon has several other recently and soon-to-be retired Lego Mario sets in stock for retail price or less. Check out the list below for more options, including Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo for $23.10 (was $35) thanks to an Amazon Lightning Deal.
Lego Super Mario Deals: Retired & Retiring Soon Sets
$25 (was $55) | Retired
The Soda Jungle Maker Set offers a bunch of unique components that add a colorful variety of obstacles and decorations to your Lego Mario courses. This is one of the coolest Super Mario playsets with an emphasis on smaller builds rather than a centerpiece item.
Some of the 598 pieces are used to build three character from Bowser’s crew Piranha Plant, Wiggler, and Pink Shy Guy. Along with the figures, you’ll piece together various environmental trappings from New Super Mario Bros. U’s Soda Jungle world. Notable accessories include a Special Pipe and the Customization Machine, which is paired with two Question Blocks and interacts with the Lego Mario starter set figures. Multiple other Action Tags are scattered throughout, making this a great choice for youngsters who enjoy building and playing Mario levels in Lego form.
If you love Piranha Plants, check out the 540-piece Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant. This is one of a handful of Lego’s Nintendo-themed display models for adults, and you can save 20% at Amazon.
