If you’re interested in trying one or both of Brandon Sanderson’s wildly popular fantasy series, you shouldn’t miss out on Amazon’s Cyber Monday box set deals. The Mistborn Trilogy Box Set is on sale for only $15.32 (was $35), which is the lowest price ever–and this slipcased set has been available since early 2020. The Stormlight Archive Books 1-3 Box Set is on sale for $17 (was $38), which is the lowest price since it was $15 in Amazon’s 2023 Black Friday sale.
Amazon initially offered these discounts on Black Friday as Lightning Deals that were claimed in a hurry, but the retailer apparently decided to let the deals stick around–for now, at least. Neither deal is officially marked as Cyber Monday, so it’s unclear if the prices will increase after today (December 1).

The Mistborn Trilogy box set collects the following Brandon Sanderson novels in mass market paperback:
- The Final Empire (2006)
- The Well of Ascension (2007)
- The Hero of Ages (2008)
All told, you’re getting over 2,250 pages of fantasy fiction for only $15.32. Buying these three books separately would cost you just under $28 right now.
If you’re new to Sanderson’s writing, the Mistborn Trilogy is a great place to start. Set in a dystopian world inspired by the French Revolution, Mistborn follows a group of thieves who attempt to overthrow an immortal tyrant. It has a very cool magic system known as Allomancy, fun action sequences, ample political intrigue, and well-realized world where falling ash and misty air are regular occurrences.
Seven Mistborn novels have been published so far. Books 1-3 make up Mistborn Era 1, while Books 4-7 form Era 2. The latter takes place over 300 years after The Hero of Ages and is inspired by the Industrial Revolution and has elements of steampunk fiction. Mistborn Era 3 will leap forward to the early days of computers.
The Mistborn Trilogy is also available in a larger trade paperback box set for only $31 (was $72) right now. A trade paperback box set with Books 4-6 is $49.49 (was $90).
The cheapest way to complete your collection of mainline Mistborn novels is to pair the $15.32 box set with the mass market paperbacks of Books 4-7. And if you enjoy the setting and characters in the original trilogy, a companion book called Mistborn: Secret History fleshes out the story of one of the trilogy’s most compelling characters.

If you like sprawling high fantasy novels with many different character perspectives and a strong emphasis on worldbuilding, The Stormlight Archive is for you. This three-book box set might be the biggest bargain in Amazon’s sale, because Stormlight novels are absolutely massive. The shortest novel in this mass market paperback set is the first one, The Way of Kings, and it’s 1,280 pages. The next two books are 1,328 pages each, so you’re getting over 3,900 pages of methodically paced epic fantasy for just $17.
- The Way of Kings (2010)
- Words of Radiance (2014)
- Oathbringer (2017)
All three mass market paperbacks would cost you over $30 if purchased separately right now.
Sanderson has written five books in The Stormlight Archive series so far. The fourth book, Rhythm of War, is available for $9 in the same size paperback. The fifth novel, Wind and Truth, was published last December and is still only available in hardcover, but now’s a pretty great time to buy all five books. Wind and Truth is on sale for $16.30 (was $40). The Stormlight Archive also has two novellas set between Books 2-3 and Books 3-4.

It’s also worth noting the first four Stormlight Archive novels are available in a hardcover box set for $75.71 (was $160).
The Stormlight Archive and the Mistborn Saga exist in Sanderson’s ambitious shared universe known as the Cosmere. The first Cosmere story is his 2005 debut novel Elantris. You may be tempted to start from the beginning, but many Sanderson readers advise it’s better to circle back to that one later on. It’s a solid book, but his second book–the first Mistborn novel–is much better. Sanderson has also published several standalone books in the Cosmere universe as part of his Secret Projects series. The next Cosmere novel is Isles of the Emberdark, which is scheduled to launch February 3, 2026, and is available to preorder now.

But there’s actually a new Brandon Sanderson book called Tailored Realities releasing next week. Tailored Realities is a collection of stories across different genres. The headliner in Tailored Realities is a new sci-fi novella called Moment Zero. The 448-page hardcover is available to preorder for only $21 (was $30) at Amazon.
