Strands is the NYT’s latest word game after the likes of Wordle, Spelling Bee and Connections – and it’s great fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands hints.

It probably says a lot about me that if ever there is a Stands with a food theme then I spot it straight away and roar through it.
Today, getting the non-game words for this column afterwards took longer than completing the search.
That said, of all the eating establishments featured I wouldn’t have predicted BREWERY would be among them. This innovation is less common in the UK but I’m all for it. The food part mainly.
