At this point, all signs point to Samsung finally upgrading the wired charging speed on the Galaxy S26 Ultra next year to 60W. That should allow the phone to top up its rumored 5,000mAh cell relatively quickly. Samsung itself is now hinting at the S26 Ultra’s faster charging speeds by listing a 60W power adapter on its site.
The company has silently listed a new 60W charger with the model number EP-T6010 on its website. Spotted by @yabhishekhd, the power adapter offers a maximum power output of 60W and only features a single USB-C port (via @SamMobile).
Unlike Samsung’s older 45W brick, which supports USB PD 3.0 PPS, the newer model is compatible with the USB PD 3.1 PPS standard. It also has a low standby power consumption of 5mW.
More importantly, unlike some other chargers, the new T6010 can deliver its full 60W at 3A across the entire 5–20V range. That means you won’t need to use a 5A USB-C cable to fast charge the S26 Ultra. This has been a notable pain point with the S25 Ultra, which can only hit its full 45W charging speeds when paired with a 5A cable and select chargers.
Keep in mind that only supported devices can pull the full 60W output from this adapter, including non-Galaxy phones and laptops.
The rest of the Galaxy S26 lineup is unlikely to receive a similar charging upgrade.
Galaxy S26 Ultra set to get a big charging upgrade
Samsung will seemingly market the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 60W fast charging as Super Fast Charging 3.0, with leaked One UI 8.5 firmware internally referring to it as “level 4.”
Despite being marketed as 60W, Samsung’s next flagship Galaxy will supposedly pull 55W of power on an empty cell. This will then drop to 45W once the battery level reaches 15%. And after the cell hits 70%, charging will slow down even further to reduce heat and protect long-term health.
Alongside wired, the S26 Ultra’s wireless charging speed will also get a much-needed boost from 15W to 25W. More importantly, the phone will come with built-in magnets for native Qi 2.2 support.
