Tales of Berseria Remastered launches February 27, 2026, for PlayS5, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This modern remaster brings the beloved fast-paced JRPG from 2017 to Switch and Xbox for the first time, with updated visuals, gameplay, quality-of-life improvements, and all previous DLC from the PS4 and PS3 versions. It’s coming out digitally for all these platforms, but physical versions are only available on PS5 and Switch, and preorders are available for $40 at Amazon and Best Buy. PC players can also score a preorder discount by grabbing the game at Fanatical, where it’s discounted to $33.59

The standard physical edition of Tales of Berseria Remastered is priced at $40 and available for PS5 and Switch. It includes the full game–which bundles the remastered base game and all the original version’s post-launch DLC–as well as the Super Adventuring Assistance Set if you preorder. The physical box features hand-drawn cover art of the game’s protagonist, Velvet. Digital preorders are also available on all platforms, and if you’re on PC, you can save a few dollars by preordering at Fanatical, where the game is just $33.59 (normally $40).
Along with bundling all the original release’s base content and DLC into one package, Tales of Berseria Remastered also features various upgrades and tweaks to the experience, including improved visuals and performance, quality of life options like destination markers and the ability to toggle enemy encounters, as well as immediate access to the Grade Shop–which included end-game benefits that carried over to New Game Plus in the original game, but is now available during your first playthrough.

Tales of Berseria original came out in 2017 and serves as the prequel game to 2015’s Tales of Zestiria, making it the 16th mainline entry in the Tales franchise. Berseria follows Velvet Crowe, a young woman bent on vengeance after the murder of her brother. It’s a deep, emotional tale of self-reflection and the power of letting go. Despite launching after Zestria, Berseria’s prequel story is approachable even if you haven’t played Zestria. In fact, like the majority of the Tales series, you can play Tales of Berseria without prior knowledge of the other games. It even seems like Bandai Namco plans for new players to start here, considering Zestria has not been remastered yet. With the cadence of remastered Tales games, it seems to only be a matter of time before Bandai Namco announces a remaster of Tales of Zestiria to give both new fans and veterans alike the complete story with modern improvements.
Tales of Berseria Remastered isn’t the first remaster in the series, and will be far from the last.
