Ahead of The Game Awards, a trailer for the new James Bond game 007: First Light has leaked, revealing what appears to be the game’s main villain and the actor playing him. The character is reportedly named Bawma and he will be played by Lenny Kravitz, according to the trailer leak.
Kravitz is best known for his success in music, but he does have acting experience as well, appearing in The Hunger Games movies as Cinna. He also acts in his many music videos.
Actor Patrick Gibson plays a young James Bond in First Light, which tells a new, original story of how Bond became 007. The game’s cast also includes No Time To Die actor Priyanga Burford as M, The Walking Dead’s Lennie James as Greenway, Death in Paradise’s Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny, and Andor actor Alastair Mackenzie as Q.
Additionally, Marvel actor Gemma Chan plays Dr. Selina Tan and Noemie Nakai (Tokyo Vice) portrays Miss Roth.
First Light is set for releases on March 26, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. It’s being developed by Hitman studio IO Interactive, which is also making a fantasy game.
If the trailer was meant to be shown at The Game Awards, people won’t have much longer to wait to see it, as the show takes place today, December 11. For more, check out GameSpot’s rundown of how to watch and what to expect from The Game Awards.
